I was so excited when Jackie contacted me all the way from England for her destination Nigerian Engagement Ceremony. The whole process was a lot of firsts for us and I’m so happy she entrusted us! It was a new experience and I learned so much about a new culture. These are the things I love about the wedding business, there’s always so much to learn.

“Nicole provided awesome value for her services. We were very lucky to find her to do the day of planning for our Nigerian engagement ceremony. We faced some challenges with the venue and coordinating all the vendors was a bit overwhelming, but Nicole was calm, in charge and always had a smile on her face. Everything looked beautiful on the day. Would definitely recommend her services.” -Jackie

Love Tips: Wedding Day Timelines

Wedding TimelineWe’ve all heard the phrase “time is of the essence” right? Well when it comes to your wedding day that phrase is very true! Planning a wedding begins with sticking to a timeline, making sure you’ve booked various vendors, sent out invitations and created a table layout for the venue. But what about the timeline for the day of the wedding? A lot of couples forget this important detail (that’s why if you’re in Orlando (or Central Florida) you hire us!) and are stuck on their wedding day not knowing what is next or how much time they have for each activity.

Creating a timeline includes making it realistic and actually sticking to it because what good is it if you don’t follow it. With all of our packages we create a detailed timeline for our couples and the vendors. It is important for the couple and the vendors to know where they should be and what they should be doing. We are sticklers about sticking to the timeline (of course there are certain times when things are out of our control…that’s the part about being realistic!) because time is of the essence.

When you book a venue you usually choose a block time for your wedding, whether it;s 4 or 6 hours. As your planner or coordinator we have to make sure you get the full wedding experience in these hours. We have to account for the ceremony, bridal party/family pictures, cocktail hour, toasts and the final dance, to name a few. We also have to be mindful of events running over and being able to have wiggle room. As basic as it may sound timelines can be very time consuming to create and need to be created by someone who has experience in what should be included.

If you are unable to hire a planner or coordinator consider hiring them to create your timeline as an a la carte service! I promise you that you will not regret it and your vendors will be thankful for it!

Love Tips: How To Mix and Match Bridesmaid Dresses

how-to-mix-and-match-bridesmaid-dresses

So this week has been crazy busy (what week isn’t though?) and I’m just not able to send you guys a love tip from me. I did however pop on over to one of my favorite blogs (Every Last Detail) and found a post that is just what you want to read and see, mismatched bridesmaid dresses! Have you considered doing this? Way long ago when I got married I allowed my girls to choose their dresses as long as they kept them in the same color scheme. I personally believe it brings more personality to the wedding and a touch of fun!
